Heaven In the Highlands 2025

Date: 11th to 12th October 2025.

Meet: AJ’s Café, 72 Ettalong Rd Greystanes at 8.30 am for a 9.00 am departure.

A weekend trip from 11th October to 12th October fully catered. It will be on bitumen, apart from 2 sections of good farm track about 4 kms in total.

The itinerary is:

Meet at AJ’s Café, last one arriving writes the trip report. From there, we head south to Alpine, Penrose and Tallong, then on to Land Rover Heaven North of Goulburn. Lunch will be provided at Land Rover Heaven

After a tour of club member David D’Arcy’s vast collection of Land Rovers, we head to a private property at Greenwich Park to overnight. Some on-site accommodation is available (a cabin that can sleep 5 or so and a caravan for 3 or 4), plus camping (camper trailer suitable). Dinner that night will be catered (beef & pork sizzle steaks, chips, salad & vegetables). Breakfast is provided the next morning.

This fully catered weekend has a cost of $30 for the 3 meals. All you need bring is your beverages, chairs and sleeping arrangements. Please notify beforehand if you have any special dietary requirements. On-site accommodation for the Saturday night must be pre-booked by emailing editor@lroc.com.au and will be on a first-come basis (those with special needs will be given priority though).

Sunday morning will be spent in Goulburn on a heritage walk and/or Rocky Hill War Memorial.You can depart for Sydney or other destinations from here. Alternatively, join Rovers Restaurant for lunch at the Terminus Hotel in Marulan at your own expense, then depart back to Sydney. When booking the tickets for this trip, please indicate if you are wanting to attend the Terminus Hotel for lunch also.
