Commences at 9.30 a.m. at Captains Flat Hotel.  For those wishing to arrive on Friday, there are camping facilities in Captains Flat. We follow old logging roads to Major’s Creek, rich in historic buildings from its gold rush days. Explore the town and surrounding areas at your leisure. We camp at the recreation reserve, or at Araluen not far from here. The second day is in Tallaganda National Park and State Forest, visiting the heritage logging site of Lowden Park, then north and out via Hoskinstown.
